Who we are

As the voice of citizens, the European Parliament stands for European democracy. The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) amplifies its message of the Parliament to reach every corner of Europe. We help connect Members of Parliament to the people they represent, and we communicate what the Parliament is, what it does, and what it stands for. When Parliament speaks, we make sure it’s heard.

We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.

 

Your tasks

  • Support activity to the publication of texts for social media: production, cutting, editing videos and reels, translating, drafting, editing and publishing content for social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram) posts;
  • Support activity to ensure visibility of the EPLO during events organised by EPLO networking activities;
  • Create Power Point or Canva presentations related to the EPLO’s project, activities or events;
  • Research and draft notes, in particular preparing documents on EP legislative texts, translations, speeches;
  • Support in the organisation and schedule of events.

 

You are

  • You have obtained/will obtain a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) in the domain of social media communication at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship;
  • You are passionate about social media and creativity; 
  • You are curious about what is online and is becoming trendy among young audiences;
  • You are creative, able and available to prepare ready to use content/ Reels according to last trends on social media in coordination with the team;
  • You have perfect command of Italian (native-speaker equivalent - C2 level);
  • You have very good command of English and another EU language;
  • You have knowledge of the EU institutional context and political situation in the EU and in Italy, with the ability to write reports;
  • You have good social media management skills and good command of social media reporting tools would be an added value;
  • You have Canva basic knowledge;
  • You are available to a flexible schedule of working hours (weekends included) according to the needs of the service in order to ensure a coordinated social media coverage;
  • You are a good team player;
  • You are interest in participating in external activities/events.
