Who we are

The European Parliament stands for European democracy. We help connect it to people.

We work to provide complete and impartial information to citizens and media about the European Parliament and assist our Members in their communication activities.

The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) strives to reach and engage the right audience with the right message at the right time and in doing so, deliver world-class communication. We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.

We are a small team of 4-5 people dedicated to the Service Desk of the Parliament websites. We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, and eager to learn person ready to join our team, composed of colleagues who are always ready to help.

The work to be provided is intense and varied, ranging from specific tasks of a traditional service desk (ticketing and users' support for CMSs made available to them) to webmaster tasks (updates of websites that are under the responsibility of the team).

The Service Desk is part of DG COMM's Webmaster Unit, which is an IT unit responsible for creating and maintaining a large number of sites. The unit is made up of about fifty people, bringing together all the profiles necessary to set up a site: designers, UX, analysts, developers, testers, project managers and... support. Joining this Service Desk team would allow you to understand the life cycle of a website, from its design up to its implementation and ongoing maintenance. This traineeship is a great opportunity to learn!
