AT Internet is the web analytics tool we selected to monitor our websites.
We have configured this tool in order to limit as much as possible the collection of personal data of our users. For instance, we have implemented the IP address de-identification by automatically truncating the last octet (the last 3 digits) of each visitor's IP address (Internet Protocol), making it impossible to identify a visitor via his sole IP address.
The only data we track is the following, always with the aim of improving our websites via aggregated and anonymous statistics reports on visitors’ activities.
- IP address (anonymised)
- Sources (types, campaigns, domains, …)
- Contents being viewed (title of the page, editorial pages settings, path of pages, URL and canonical URL, language, …)
- Geolocation (country, region, town)
- Technical profiles (devices, OS, browsers, screen size of user, …)
- Periods (date and time of the visit to the site, user’s time zone)
- Campaigns
- Site search
- Events (clicks on our contents, on action buttons, …)
- Files that were clicked and downloaded
- Domains (links to an external website, referrer website)
To accept or refuse our analytics cookies, go to the Cookies policy page.
For technical security, performance purposes and assistance to users, we record the activities of our technical infrastructures and our applications.
However, we limit as much as possible the collection of any personal data. The only personal data we track on our infrastructures, always in the aim of security and monitoring, is the following:
- IP address
- Date and timeslot of the connection
- Part of the European Parliament’s website visited
- Operating system
- Connexion to our applications
- Volume of data loaded
- IP address of the website
- Protocole used (http; https; rtmp, etc.)
The data is recorded in daily log files we keep live between thirty days and six months. They are then backed-up between six months and one year. We automatically delete those data at the end of the defined period.
All data collected by our applications is notified to our Data Protection Officer (DPO) through a dedicated notification process stored in the “Data Protection Register”.
