Who we are

The Directorate General for Security and Safety (DG SAFE) ensures safety and security of the persons, buildings and assets within the European Parliament’s premises. In addition, it commits to provide high quality security services by developing modern working methods, digitalised processes and using state-of-the-art technologies and equipment.

DG SAFE's Security Luxembourg Unit ensures all tasks relating to the security and protection of persons and assets in Luxembourg as well as controlling access to the European Parliament's premises and installations therein (persons, vehicles, supplies and mail) guaranteeing that official visits, meetings and events of all kinds run smoothly. In addition, the Unit implements decisions taken by the European Parliament's authorities on security and safety.

 

Your tasks

In the general framework of the unit activities, you will:  

  • Update existing communication materials and create other information materials adapted to the specific needs;
  • Provide and update of contact lists and calendars and dealing with other relevant administrative requirements;
  • Contribute to manage the on-boarding and off-boarding procedure of staff;
  • Draft and format documents such as reports, memos, and presentations;
  • Help with organizing meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, arranging facilities, and taking minutes when necessary;
  • Follow-up other parliamentary activities and deepen knowledge on the working of Parliament and the EU institutions.

 

You are

  • You have obtained a Vocational Education qualification (EQF level 3, 4 or 5) or a University degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship;
  • We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate willing to get involved in a plethora of tasks and challenges;
  • A proficient level of French and/or English, the main working languages of the Directorate, is required. The knowledge of an additional official language is a plus;
  • The candidate should have excellent drafting and computer skills.
