By implementing advanced technologies and best practices, DG ITEC ensures that the European Parliament remains at the forefront of digital developments while maintaining the highest standards of security and quality. This mission is fundamental to supporting the legislative process, enabling democracy and fostering a robust IT ecosystem within the institution.

The Legislative and Custom Solutions Unit (LEGCUST) develops and maintains a number of information systems to support legislative processes at every stage. It also provides the eLegislate building blocks necessary for the end-to-end digitalisation of legislative workflows. The unit’s mission is to enhance existing applications, develop new solutions – prioritising off-site bespoke development where feasible – and facilitate the integration of acquired applications.
