The Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC) is a trusted partner that empowers the European Parliament by delivering digitally advanced, secure, resilient, compliant and sustainable information and communications technology (ICT) services.

The missions of the Reusable Solutions Unit (REUSOL) are:

  • The development, implementation and maintenance of software solutions based on the Quality control and Accessibility Unit's solution design;
  • The development, integration and maintenance of reusable components;
  • Ensuring the evolution of legacy applications and, to the extent possible, their progressive refactoring leveraging reusable components;
  • Support for integration of acquired applications and management and evolution of technical environments for application development.

The missions of the Reusable Component Service (COMPONENTS) are:

  • The support of application development in the European Parliament (EP);
  • Providing the Development Platform;
  • The development and maintenance of key logistics and content management applications.

 

Your tasks

  • Assist Front Office agents while supporting EP development teams;
  • Review IT documentation related to support;
  • Analyse efficiency of support workflows.

 

You are

As one of the Development support Front Office agents, you must have basic IT Knowledge. Basic IT knowledge encompasses understanding how computers work and how to effectively use them for various tasks. It includes fundamental concepts like operating systems, file management, and navigating the internet, along with common software applications such as word processors and spreadsheets. 

Troubleshooting basic computer issues and maintaining basic cybersecurity are also essential components of basic IT knowledge.

In addition to this, you must have good documentation writing and reviewing, have a strong team spirit and good listening and understanding skills.
