Your tasks

As a trainee in the My House of European History (MyHEH) Unit of the European Parliament, you will have the opportunity to help develop and promote the MyHEH project of the Directorate General for Translation of the European Parliament.

MyHEH seeks to create a virtual library of testimonies from people all across the world, by collecting citizens’ stories in 24 languages and publishing these stories in text, audio and video format.

The MyHEH platform already hosts more than 1000 genuine stories with a European background. A series of podcasts is also produced on the basis of the written testimonies on the MyHEH platform. These podcasts shed light on historical milestones of the 20th century and are available in all 24 official EU languages.

You will work under the supervision of the five members of the MyHEH Core Team who will guide you through the process of collecting citizen’s testimonies, curating them, creating new content and developing the MyHEH website. This will give you the opportunity to work on a major multilingual communication and outreach project, with an international and multidisciplinary team. Depending on the ongoing tasks and projects of the unit, you will also collaborate with the Core Team in producing audio and video products, and drafting promotion material for both internal and external communication and outreach, among other tasks.
