Who we are
The Directorate-General for Innovation and Technological Support (DG ITEC) provides the European Parliament with information and communication technology services as well as document production, printing and distribution services.
Procurement and Contracts Management Unit (PAC unit) provides advice and assistance to authorising officers and operational services in DG ITEC in the areas of public procurement and contracts. The Contracts Administration Service within the PAC unit is engaged in fulfilling the mission of the Unit especially by overseeing the contract management and ensuring correct and harmonised execution of IT contracts and high quality of files concerning the implementation of contracts.
The service is currently working on a several projects aimed at automating parts of the contract management process (using Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Power Automate). The processes being automated are for example exchange of information with suppliers, creation of documents from templates, automatic checks etc. However, any other part of the processes that can be made easier or automated can be considered.
Your tasks
The future Schuman trainee shall be part of the Contract Administration team and will help designing the automation:
- Creating workflows and automating process using low code;
- Assisting the team members with other tasks aimed at improving the efficiency by using available technology (automation, AI);
- Help to the final users within or outside the unit in using the automation processes the trainee help to create or improve;
- Train new colleagues on how to use the automated process in their daily tasks;
- Explore other possibilities to leverage the use of automation and/or AI in procurement;
- Other tasks linked to IT contract administration.
You are
We are looking for a candidate with IT background. Knowledge and previous experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Power Automate as well as experience with AI tools are welcome.
