Who we are

The Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC) provides the European Parliament with information and communication technology services as well as document production, printing and distribution services.

The Directorate for Sourcing and Organisational Management (SOMA) within DG ITEC coordinate and optimise the management of the common resources of DG ITEC. Among our activities, we implement learning and development initiatives for our staff and we ensure the follow-up of all these initiatives. This covers a wide range of activities: we prepare and implement the training plans (internal and external), we manage and execute the training budget and we allocate the missions' envelope for training. We do coordinate and organise teambuilding activities and tailor-made training, we deal with the training requests of our colleagues and with the daily inquiries we receive. We actively participate to the initiatives of the learning and development community at the EP. We do publish every year a repository of training reports containing all the reports drafted by the colleagues of our DG who attended an external training. We are responsible for internal communication on training activities and for updating the internal guidelines on training and the intranet section dedicated to the L&D in our DG.

 

Your tasks

You will be actively involved in all the activities organised by the training team: you will provide assistance to the training team by carrying out various administrative tasks (managing participants' lists and invitations, checking justification documents and training reports), you will deal with the communication and with the management of the functional mailbox, you will schedule meetings and draft minutes, you will process and update documents and databases, you will update training plans and eventually training templates. When needed, you will join the meetings with the colleagues of our DG and/or with other DGs / other institutions.

 

You are

We are looking for a proactive, dynamic and motivated colleague. Good interpersonal and communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail are essential. A passion for technology and innovation is an asset. A good written and oral command of English is also very important. No prior experience is needed, however, the use of Microsoft tools is required to perform the tasks.
