Who we are

The Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO) is responsible for overseeing the European Parliament's vast infrastructure portfolio, which spans around 1.3 million square meters of building space across Europe. This includes a variety of tasks that are crucial to ensuring the smooth functioning and sustainability of the Parliament's operations. DG INLO's responsibilities go beyond just building management; it is also in charge of a range of essential services such as catering, mail distribution, furniture management, and transport for Parliament Members and staff. This comprehensive approach ensures that all physical and logistical needs are met, supporting the European Parliament’s political activities in a sustainable way.

Within the Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics, the Luxembourg Upkeep Unit is in charge of the Parliamentary buildings in Luxembourg, developing all the projects necessary to keep the site in a good condition for the users and meeting their daily needs.

 

Your tasks

In order to refine the 3D model of the ADENAUER building, the BIM service of the unit is looking for a technical profile. The goal is to integrate all the necessary information to introduce the use of BIM into daily project and FM practice

Your tasks will be:

  • Creation and update of BIM models for architectural, structural and MEP systems using BIM software (Revit and AutoCAD);
  • Development and extraction of drawings and documentation from BIM models, including plans, elevations, sections and constructive details;
  • Management of the digital library of BIM components, including objects specific to the needs and parametric families;
  • Data entry, preferably by automation processes (Dynamo);
  • Data quality check in cooperation with BIM Coordinators (geometric and non-geometric information), ensuring the models comply with the established standards and guidelines;
  • Participation in weekly meetings to provide updates and insights on models progress and coordinate with the rest of the team.

 

You are

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary certificates or associate degrees in fields like architecture, engineering or construction management technology. Masters or specializations in BIM technology or related areas are highly appreciated;
  • Experience in architectural design, engineering projects or construction by the use of BIM software;
  • Excellent skills in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. The use of Dynamo for Revit is recommended;
  • Proficiency in Office Pack (Word, Excel);
  • Good knowledge of English and/or French.
