Your tasks

More specifically, in full support of this general mission of DG TRAD, our unit's mission is to provide the appropriate level and quality of support and troubleshooting for the IT environments, translation tools and other applications used in our DG.

Your main activities will be to provide support and assistance to DG TRAD colleagues from all the different units in the use of the IT environments available to them for their daily tasks. Your collaboration within the TRAD Service Desk team could range from preparing computers and distributing IT equipment to offering troubleshooting steps for various translation tools and other applications. Assistance is requested either by email, telephone or in person and as a member of the TRAD Service Desk team you would be responsible for responding to requests or incidents and guiding users to a solution in the quickest and most efficient way possible. You would also record these requests and incidents in the EP ticketing system (ServiceNow).

As the tasks of the TRAD Service Desk are very diverse, you could have the opportunity to learn about all the different aspects of the IT translation workflow, to use and test the different translation applications used in the European Parliament, to improve your IT skills in this very specific domain and, last but not least, to meet people from all over DG TRAD!
