Who we are
The Directorate-General for External Policies (DG EXPO) is made up of four directorates: Committees, Regions (covering interparliamentary delegations), Resources and Democracy Support.
Staff of DG EXPO form a European team of advisers supporting the European Parliament's President and political bodies in their work on the EU's external policies. Colleagues in DG EXPO provide advice on matters of substance and procedure, liaise with other EU institutions and manage resources. The focus is on legislation, parliamentary oversight of the European Commission and EEAS, and support for parliamentary democracy. Most of the work is done in Brussels.

We are the Personnel Unit of DG EXPO
Our mission is to provide bespoke Human Resources services to DG EXPO management and staff, including filling vacancies, staff movement, learning and development opportunities, career guidance for colleagues and any additional HR support, such as logistics and business trips management.
Your tasks
A trainee in our Unit will:
- Learn about HR management within an international organisation;
- Focus on learning and development (L&D) area: contribute to programming and implementation of L&D actions for DG EXPO (including drafting of the annual learning plan and preparation of ad hoc training programmes); organise and coordinate events for DG EXPO staff (workshops, seminars, trainings);
- Deal regularly with many people in a multicultural environment;
- Get to advance her or his communication skills;
- Actively participate in other activities of the Unit.
You are
If you:
- Are interested in Human Resources management;
- Are fluent in English (written and oral); knowledge of French is a bonus;
- Have good communication skills;
- Have a good knowledge of MS Office tools (Powerpoint, Word, Excel).
