The Directorate for ICT Infrastructure and Security Operations (INSO) is responsible for the IT infrastructure and networks, both on-premises and in the Cloud. This includes technical architecture, engineering, hosting, and operations. Additionally, the Directorate manages the ICT Security Operations for the Institution, ensuring vulnerability assessments, detection of security incidents, and the provision of IT security solutions.

The Platform Architecture and Engineering Unit (PLATFORMS) is responsible for architecture, engineering, planning, budgeting, and coordinating the delivery of secure hosting solutions both on premises (Data Center) and in the cloud.

You have obtained/will obtain a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship.

We are looking for a graduate in Computer Science, Information Technologies, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or another field relevant to the duties and tasks; user-oriented, analytical, and with very good communication skills:

• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity concepts, with an interest in digital sovereignty and emerging foundational technologies (including AI);
• Familiarity with conducting technical studies, proofs of concept, or evaluations of IT solutions;
• Good at communicating complex technical issues to non-technical audiences, with the ability to design and deliver clear documentation, training sessions, tutorials, and user guides;
• Written and spoken fluency in English is a requirement; a good knowledge of other EU languages would be an asset;
• The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently as well as in team, with a strong focus on providing high-quality outputs for the team and its stakeholders.
