The Legislative and Custom Solutions Unit (LEGCUST) develops and maintains information systems that support legislative processes at every stage. It also provides the eLegislate building blocks necessary for the end-to-end digitalization of legislative workflows. The unit’s mission is to enhance existing applications, develop new solutions and facilitate the integration of acquired applications.

• Drive digital growth: support the rollout of a digital transformation programme modernising core European Parliament applications;
• Coordinate key projects: assist with daily project coordination, tracking milestones, and creating essential project documentation;
• Engage with stakeholders: facilitate smooth communication and support change management activities across diverse institutional teams;
• Optimise internal processes: analyse existing workflows and contribute actionable ideas to improve administrative efficiency;
• Apply modern methodologies: work directly with agile frameworks, digital delivery tools, and public sector modernisation strategies.

• You have obtained/will obtain a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship;
• Organisational skills: ability to coordinate tasks, manage timelines, and maintain clear documentation;
• Strong communicator: excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels;
• Analytical mind: sharp problem-solving abilities with an interest in process optimisation;
• Tech-savvy adaptive: familiarity with agile workflows and collaborative tools like Microsoft 365, xWiki and ServiceNow;
• Public sector interest: a foundational understanding of public administration or digital policy is a strong asset;
• Language skills: full professional proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French is an asset.
