Who we are

The Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO) is responsible for overseeing the European Parliament's vast infrastructure portfolio, which spans around 1.3 million square meters of building space across Europe. This includes a variety of tasks that are crucial to ensuring the smooth functioning and sustainability of the Parliament's operations. DG INLO's responsibilities go beyond just building management; it is also in charge of a range of essential services such as catering, mail distribution, furniture management, and transport for Parliament Members and staff. This comprehensive approach ensures that all physical and logistical needs are met, supporting the European Parliament’s political activities in a sustainable way.

Within the Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics, the Sustainable Mobility Unit is responsible for implementing the European Parliament’s mobility policy. In this context, it encourages staff to use alternative modes of transport for commuting and promotes initiatives supporting soft and active mobility.

The Unit is also in charge of the parking policy and ensures compliance with internal rules, with a view to preventing unsafe, unauthorized or inappropriate parking practices.

 

Your tasks

The trainee will be responsible for:

  • Providing general administrative support to the team (document organization, file follow-up, updating records);
  • Collecting, structuring and analyzing data (in particular statistical data);
  • Contributing to the consolidation and verification of data for internal reporting purposes;
  • Updating and managing databases and monitoring tools (Excel or equivalent);
  • Drafting meeting minutes and internal notes;
  • Contributing to the preparation of summary documents and presentations;
  • Providing ad hoc support in the preparation of meetings and projects.

 

You are

  • You are an organised and detail-oriented person with strong analytical skills;
  • You have good drafting abilities and are comfortable summarizing information;
  • You are able to integrate easily into a team and to work independently, while following instructions;
  •  You demonstrate discretion when handling data;
  • You have a good command of standard office tools (in particular Excel) and have an interest in data management and statistical analysis.

 


You have obtained/will obtain a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship.
