Who we are
The Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO) is responsible for overseeing the European Parliament's vast infrastructure portfolio, which spans around 1.3 million square meters of building space across Europe. This includes a variety of tasks that are crucial to ensuring the smooth functioning and sustainability of the Parliament's operations. DG INLO's responsibilities go beyond just building management, it is also in charge of a range of essential services such as catering, mail distribution, furniture management, and transport for Parliament Members and staff. This comprehensive approach ensures that all physical and logistical needs are met, supporting the European Parliament's political activities in a sustainable way.
Within the Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics, the Strasbourg Upkeep Unit is in charge of the renovation and fittings out works in the buildings of the site.
Your tasks
The candidate will be integrated into the team responsible for monitoring the studies and construction work for the creation of multifunctional meeting/conference rooms. The work, which began at the end of 2025, will be completed by the last quarter of 2027. The candidate will participate in works meetings, monitor schedules and budgets, and oversee the progress of the work.
You are
- We are looking for a motivated and proactive person;
- The candidate must demonstrate good communication skills and be results-oriented;
- Profile: preferably Engineer or Architect;
- Experience: No professional experience required;
- Language: French or English required. French is used daily in the works departments in Strasbourg;
- Computer skills: Excel.
You have obtained/will obtain a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship.
