Who we are

The Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO) is responsible for overseeing the European Parliament's vast infrastructure portfolio, which spans around 1.3 million square meters of building space across Europe. This includes a variety of tasks that are crucial to ensuring the smooth functioning and sustainability of the Parliament's operations. DG INLO's responsibilities go beyond just building management; it is also in charge of a range of essential services such as catering, mail distribution, furniture management, and transport for Parliament Members and staff. This comprehensive approach ensures that all physical and logistical needs are met, supporting the European Parliament’s political activities in a sustainable way.

Within the Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics, the Communication Unit is in charge of the internal communication, preparation of notices, articles for DG INLO Intranet and the support of communication activities/requests from the different services.

 

Your tasks

  • Video editing for team projects and in collaboration with INLO Academy with Adobe Premiere Pro;
  • Translation of notices from English to French, and occasionally proofreading English;
  • Writing articles for the DG INLO Intranet website;
  • Sending out the satisfaction surveys;
  • Collaboration in the creation of visual material for presentation to be displayed during an event;
  • Photo editing with Adobe Photoshop and other apps;
  • Supporting events (i.e. by taking photographic material);
  • Support internal website uploads;
  • Providing software knowledge in Adobe Acrobat and other functionalities to support the work of the team.

 

You are

The ideal candidate should have a perfect (native-speaker equivalent) command of English/German and with a good knowledge of French; should have a journalism (master preferably) university degree and/or media studies/background.

Audiovisual skills and media knowledge are extra assets.

 

You have obtained/will obtain a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship.
