Who we are
The Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO) is responsible for overseeing the European Parliament's vast infrastructure portfolio, which spans around 1.3 million square meters of building space across Europe. This includes a variety of tasks that are crucial to ensuring the smooth functioning and sustainability of the Parliament's operations. DG INLO's responsibilities go beyond just building management; it is also in charge of a range of essential services such as catering, mail distribution, furniture management, and transport for Parliament Members and staff. This comprehensive approach ensures that all physical and logistical needs are met, supporting the European Parliament’s political activities in a sustainable way.
Within DG INLO, the Brussels Facility Management Unit oversees the management and maintenance of facilities crucial for the activities of MEPs and Parliament staff in Brussels.
In the context of the development of its activities, the unit is looking for a person with a qualification in IT, Computer Sciences or equivalent to support the unit’s IT coordination activities, particularly in relation to maintenance contracts, data monitoring, and internal digital tools.
Your tasks
- Support to the unit’s IT coordination, facilitating the organization and follow-up of IT activities in relation to maintenance contracts;
- Management and processing of access requests to IT tools and equipment, in compliance with established procedures;
- Support to the secretariat for IT-related questions and procedures, providing technical and functional assistance as required;
- IT contractual support in the management and monitoring of the CMMS contract and the BHD Ticketing application, contributing to service control and proper execution;
- Collection, analysis and monitoring of KPIs for the preparation of performance reports;
- Management, updating and use of Power BI dashboards for data visualization and analysis;
- Support to cybersecurity actions related to the unit’s applications.
You are
- Graduate in IT, Computer Science, or a related field;
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel);
- Interest in data analysis and IT tools;
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools is a plus, but not required;
- Basic understanding of IT environments is an advantage;
- Good knowledge of English;
- Knowledge of French is an asset;
- Organized and reliable;
- Willing to learn and develop new skills;
- Good communication skills;
- Ability to work in a team.
You have obtained/will obtain a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship.
