Who we are
As the voice of citizens, the European Parliament stands for European democracy. The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) amplifies its message of the Parliament to reach every corner of Europe. We help connect Members of Parliament to the people they represent, and we communicate what the Parliament is, what it does, and what it stands for. When Parliament speaks, we make sure it’s heard.
We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.
Your tasks
- Support activity for the publication of texts for social media: drafting, editing and publishing content for social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram) posts;
- Support activity to ensure visibility of the EPLO;
- Research and drafting notes, in particular preparing documents on EP legislative texts, translations, speeches;
- Support in the organisation of events.
You are
- You have obtained/will obtain a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) preferably in the domains of Media and Communication at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship;
- Having work experience in the Media and Communication field is an asset;
- You have perfect command of Italian (native-speaker equivalent - C2 level);
- You have very good command of English and another EU language;
- You have in depth knowledge of the political situation in the EU and in Italy: ability to write reports;
- You have experience in the media sector – press;
- You are a good team player;
- You are interest in participating in external activities/events.
