Who we are

The Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC) delivers digitally advanced, secure, resilient, compliant and sustainable information and communications technology (ICT) services for the European Parliament.

The AI Centre of Competence Service is the central hub for AI expertise and AI innovation within the European Parliament administration. The service plays a key role in driving AI adoption across the European Parliament, fostering a culture of AI and data analysis literacy and ensure intra- and interinstitutional collaboration in AI. It supports Parliament's AI Governance Board and ensures its secretariat.

In this context, various smart applications in different projects will be mapped and potentially tested. Additionally, the Unit will monitor closely every technological development in the respective field. 

 

Your tasks

  • To deliver concrete functioning Proof of Concepts based on Artificial Intelligence;
  • To be able to understand end-to-end data science pipelines including components of data acquisition, data exploration, data-driven models;
  • To be able to present results in innovative ways, using data dashboards or other technologies;
  • To be able to analyse complex problems and suggest potential technological solutions based on open-source technologies;
  • To scout commercial solutions in order to generate reports about new technological trends.

 

You are

  • A knowledgeable programmer in Python;
  • Knowledgeable in Generative AI (LLMs);
  • Capable of using tools in a cloud environment (AWS or Microsoft Azure);
  • Curious, creative and independent person;
  • Eager to make an impact in the organisation;
  • Passionate about the new emergent technologies and willing to learn;
  • You have obtained/will obtain a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship.
