The Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC) delivers digitally advanced, secure, resilient, compliant and sustainable information and communications technology (ICT) services for the European Parliament.

The Director General office supports the Director General, who bears the final responsibility for DG ITEC, in his role of leading and strategically overseeing the Directorate-General's activities. The team assists the Director General in the strategic coordination and day-to-day management of the Directorate-General, while ensuring alignment with the European Parliament's political and administrative objectives in the areas of IT innovation, cybersecurity, and digital empowerment.
Your tasks
- Working closely with the different members of the DG Team, but reporting directly to a supervisor;
- Providing support and administrative assistance in matters related to digital transformation, cybersecurity, artificial intelligent, technology, and technical support;
- Preparing notes, reports, speeches and letters on specific subjects linked to the activities of DG ITEC and supporting the implementation of specific projects;
- Providing support with any other administrative task required and also working closely with senior staff members to ensure an effective assistance;
- Carrying out research and analysis, writing contributions to notes, speeches, letters and briefings, covering a broad range of thematic areas of DG ITEC remit;
- Supporting the implementation of specific projects;
- Support with administrative tasks;
- Statistical analysis and visualisation of data;
- Presentation of PPT.
You are
We are looking for a professional and motivated individual to join the Information Technologies and Cybersecurity Director General’s (DG) office for a stimulating traineeship. The ideal candidate should have an forward looking mindset, a proven capacity to understand emerging technologies and digital transformation trends, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent drafting skills in English. Having obtained a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship is a requirement. The position also requires excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with a strong sense of confidentiality and discretion. A very good command of English is essential and the knowledge of Italian/Spanish would be an advantage.
