Who we are
The Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC) delivers digitally advanced, secure, resilient, compliant and sustainable information and communications technology (ICT) services for the European Parliament.
The e-MEP Unit's goal is to improve the experience of MEPs (Members of the European Parliament) and their offices regarding IT systems. We take care of the first line and on-site IT support for Members and their offices (assistants, local assistants, etc.), and we raise IT-awareness about the solutions available for our target population to work efficiently, anytime and anywhere.
Your tasks
Under supervision of the "maître de stage", the trainee will be involved on the different services that our unit provides, including bespoke IT consultancies and specialised IT support to Members and Assistants, more specifically in the field of Social Media, audio and video activities.
- The creation and editing of audiovisual training materials, video tutorials and user guides;
- The documentation of services and processes, including review of technical documents.
Depending on the unit's workload and previous experience of the selected candidate, the tasks will be adjusted taking into account the above mentioned topics.
You are
- You have obtained/will obtain a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship;
- You are a graduate in the fields of Information Technologies, audiovisual or multimedia communication, information management, Information Science, Digital Marketing, or other field relevant to the duties and tasks, user oriented, creative, great communicator and with attention to detail;
- Mastery of both camera operation and video editing, colour grading, sound editing, adjusting lighting to fine-tuning camera settings;
- Good at communicating complex technical issues to non-technical audiences;
- Written and spoken fluency in English is a requirement, good knowledge of French would be an asset.
