Who we are

As the voice of citizens, the European Parliament stands for European democracy. The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) amplifies its message of the Parliament to reach every corner of Europe. We help connect Members of Parliament to the people they represent, and we communicate what the Parliament is, what it does, and what it stands for. When Parliament speaks, we make sure it’s heard.

We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.

The Directorate for Liaison Offices is DG Communication's front line in the Member States. The Office connects to citizens across the European Union, engaging with their concerns, understanding their cultures and speaking their languages, in order to make that vital connection between the European Parliament and the diverse local realities it represents.

Offices are playing a crucial role in spreading the knowledge of what the European Parliament is working on and has achieved as well as engaging with citizens and various stakeholders.

The European Parliament Liaison Office in Munich ensures the local implementation of the European Parliament institutional communication activities in Germany. In doing so, it forms the bridge between the institution and the German citizens. By using media relations, social media communication and events we bring the Parliament and citizens closer to each other. We have close contact with the German Members of the European Parliament and help them with the communication of their activities towards the audience in Bavaria and Baden Württemberg.
