Who we are

As the voice of citizens, the European Parliament stands for European democracy. The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) amplifies its message of the Parliament to reach every corner of Europe. We help connect Members of Parliament (MEPs) to the people they represent, and we communicate what the Parliament is, what it does, and what it stands for. When Parliament speaks, we make sure it’s heard.

We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.

The European Parliament Liaison Offices (EPLOs) are responsible for decentralized communication actions. It is our job in the Financial Support Unit to make sure the EPLOs have the necessary financial resources and that the implementation of actions is done according to the principle of sound financial management including cost-efficiency measures. The yearly annual programming exercise is an important milestone during the period Oct-Feb and thanks to data analysis and monitoring of KPIs, we make sure that the EP reaches the highest possible impact with the communication strategy. We are a team of 14 colleagues from 8 different countries and proud of our role in the financial process. Not only hardworking but also sharing good moments and success in a cooperative spirit.
