Who we are
As the voice of citizens, the European Parliament stands for European democracy. The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) amplifies its message of the Parliament to reach every corner of Europe. We help connect Members of Parliament (MEPs) to the people they represent, and we communicate what the Parliament is, what it does, and what it stands for. When Parliament speaks, we make sure it’s heard.
We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.
The House of European History (HEH) is a history museum that collects, researches and exhibits a diversity of memories, experiences and interpretations of European history, deepening knowledge and widening perspectives, encouraging the critical thinking and empathy needed to see historical events from other viewpoints. Underpinned by our academic independence, we will help to build a more informed society aware of the consequences of European history for today and strengthened by the mutual understanding needed for a common future.
The HEH is part of the European Parliament’s visitor offer. Our transnational collection, our exhibitions and our programmes provide unexpected and inspiring experiences. Through outreach and partnerships, we aim to strengthen the European dimension in debating, exhibiting and learning about history. A place for encounters and exchange, the House's multi-faceted interpretation of the past, builds bridges to questions relevant for today's Europe.
