Who we are
As the voice of citizens, the European Parliament stands for European democracy. The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) amplifies its message of the Parliament to reach every corner of Europe. We help connect Members of Parliament (MEPs) to the people they represent, and we communicate what the Parliament is, what it does, and what it stands for. When Parliament speaks, we make sure it’s heard.
We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.
The Multipliers Outreach Unit collaborates with the whole spectrum of pan-EU civil society organisations, partners of EP Prizes, stakeholders and engaged individuals. We are building close relationships to create networks of multipliers and to encourage them to disseminate Parliament’s work and messages to their own audiences and to actively engage with the European Parliament.
Your tasks
As the CSO multipliers’ trainee you will have the opportunity to work on several projects within the unit that are focusing on activating pan-European civil society organisations to communicate about Parliament’s activities, values and goals to their audiences and networks. Ultimately, contributing to ensure that people across Europe understand what the European Parliament is, what it does, and what it stands for.
Your tasks will consist of stakeholder management (mapping, email marketing, calendar management, social media monitoring, etc.), assisting in meetings with stakeholders, assisting in internal meetings as well as cross-unit meetings and identifying dissemination opportunities across different sectors.
Moreover, you will assist at communication tasks such as managing databases, usage of CRM-tools as well as other supports; drafting invitations, collecting information, research, social media listening via Talkwalker, etc.
At partner’s events, events hosted by the unit and unit’s internal events, you will be asked to help with preparation (from communication to set-up of the venue), coordination and evaluation. You will also be involved in reporting tasks.
