Why choose a traineeship at DG EPRS?
'Empowering through knowledge' is the guiding principle of EPRS. As an EPRS trainee, you will be exposed to the core of the research and analysis process in the European Parliament. Surrounded by colleagues working on publications covering a wide range of EU policies, you will gain detailed knowledge of the EP's workings while honing your skills in your specific topic of interest. If you choose a traineeship in one of EPRS's library units, you will help the parliamentary community find the resources they need for their work.
The Ex-Post Evaluation Unit supports Parliament's evidence-based policymaking, by providing parliamentary committees with research, analysis and studies on the practical operation of existing EU legislation and policies. Our publications are mostly done at the direct request of the parliamentary committees, for example, when they prepare own-initiative implementation reports, but we also proactively provide implementation evaluation on upcoming EU law revision. The Unit's work draws on available input from other EU institutions, from national governments and parliaments, and from any other external consultation and outreach activities. With our work we contribute to the better lawmaking of EU policies.
You will be part of our team and support and assist in all relevant aspects of our ex-post evaluation work, including carrying out ground research and attending and reporting from parliamentary committee meetings.
