Who we are

The Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC) is a trusted partner that empowers the European Parliament by delivering digitally advanced, secure, resilient, compliant and sustainable information and communications technology (ICT) services.

The Portfolio Management and Compliance Unit (PMCO), part of the Directorate for Cybersecurity and IT Governance (GOV) of the Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC), serves as the Central Program and Project Management Office, overseeing the global portfolio of programs and projects, including demand management, capacity assessment, and budget monitoring. It ensures compliance with data protection, interoperability, AI, and cybersecurity frameworks while governing the IT assets portfolio.

The PMCO unit is responsible for a number of policy initiatives within its remit, mandated by top management, which target to evolve the governance and operational capabilities of DG ITEC and, more broadly, the IT of the Parliament, which are to be accompanied by awareness-raising campaigns to allow for the successful deployment and operationalisation of the evolved policies, in order to ensure that they are systematically applied.
