Who we are
The Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC) is a trusted partner that empowers the European Parliament by delivering digitally advanced, secure, resilient, compliant and sustainable information and communications technology (ICT) services.
The goal of the Customised Support and Emerging Needs (e-MEP) Service is to improve the experience of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and their offices regarding IT systems. We take care of the first line and on-site IT support for Members and their offices (assistants, local assistants, etc.), and we raise IT-awareness about the solutions available for our target population to work efficiently, anytime and anywhere.
Your tasks
Under supervision of the traineeship supervisor, the trainee will be involved in the different services that our unit provide, with an emphasis on those related to customised support to Members and Assistants, and more specifically in the field of technical support for social media, audio and video creation: bespoke consultancies, short term loan of audiovisual equipment, and REC Room reservations.
- The creation and editing of audiovisual training materials, vide tutorials and user guides;
- The documentation of services and processes, including review of technical documents.
You are
- You are a graduate in the fields of Information Technologies, audiovisual or multimedia communication, information management, Information Science, Digital Marketing, or other field relevant to the duties and tasks, and you are user-oriented, creative, a great communicator and with attention to detail;
- You have mastery of both camera operation and video editing, colour grading, sound editing, adjusting lighting to fine-tuning camera settings;
- You are good at communicating complex technical issues to non-technical audiences;
- Written and spoken fluency in English is a requirement, good knowledge of French would be an asset.
