The Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC) delivers digitally advanced, secure, resilient, compliant and sustainable information and communications technology (ICT) services.
The Electronic Voting Service (EVS) within the Hosting and Continuous Improvement Unit (HOSTING) empowers Members to fulfil their democratic mandate and exercise their right to vote by providing voting facilities.
We are responsible to ensure: The availability of the electronic voting system, its maintenance, technical assistance and support, the management of the electronic voting operations and interoperability with other services and applications, technical assistance, support and training for our clients and users.
Your tasks
You will:
- Get acquainted with the voting system within the European Parliament (EP);
- Contribute to draft documents related to internal procedures, processes and business catalogue under the direct supervision of our team;
- Occasionally be requested to assist the team on clerical matters.
You are
- You have very good drafting skills (EN mandatory, FR desirable) and experience using the main editors (Word, PPT);
- Some knowledge of graphics would be desirable to create visually attractive documents;
- You are able to translate complex concepts into simple words;
- An interest in the parliamentary work and some knowledge of the most common parliamentary procedures (with an accent on voting) would be an advantage;
- You think out of the box, have an inquisitive mind and are eager to learn.
