Who we are
The Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC) is a trusted partner that empowers the European Parliament by delivering digitally advanced, secure, resilient, compliant and sustainable information and communications technology (ICT) services.
We are in the Risk and Control Unit (RISCO) responsible to ensure DG ITEC’s operational resilience, compliance, and security by managing the Internal Control Framework, Business Continuity, and Risk Management, with a strong focus on cybersecurity and post-implementation controls.
Our main objectives are to protect EP operations, budget and reputation, ensure compliance and strengthen compliance, embed security and resilience into all ICT initiatives through cyber risks assessment aiming at achieving the proper balance between operational objectives and security requirements.
Your tasks
- Assist in Cyber Risk Assessments: support the process of collecting, organising, and analysing data needed for the risk assessments;
- Document Review: participate in the review of technical and administrative documentation, including security policies, procedures, and architecture diagrams;
- Security Control Mapping: help identify and map existing controls against public cyber security frameworks;
- Support in Reporting: contribute to drafting summaries and reports by gathering findings and observations during assessments;
- Risks assessment maintenance: analyse and follow up outcomes of risk assessment.
You are
- A motivated and detail-oriented trainee with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, eager to develop expertise in cybersecurity risk management;
- Open to learning industry frameworks and risk analysis tools, while contributing to the monitoring, evaluation, and mitigation of cyber risks within a dynamic environment;
- You possess a Master (ideally) in Cybersecurity or ICT security-related domain certification.
