Who we are

The Directorate-General for Logistics and Interpretation for Conferences (DG LINC) is the multilingual conference service hub of the European Parliament. Our mission is to enable the European Parliament to achieve its political objectives, in particular in core activities related to legislative, budgetary and scrutiny functions. DG LINC provides a professional and user-oriented organisational framework to meetings and conferences including linguistic, technical and logistical support to meetings. DG LINC helps Members of Parliament get their message across in all official languages, making the legislative process accessible to citizens. It enables Parliament to further reach out to citizens with the capacity to organise conferences and cultural events outside part-sessions in Parliament’s seat in Strasbourg.

This makes DG LINC a very dynamic and collaborative place to work, offering various opportunities for connecting internally and with all those taking part in the legislative process. If you like challenges and are customer-minded, then DG LINC could be a great place for you to do a traineeship.

The Request Management Unit is in charge, inter alia, of the administrative management for meetings organised by the EP bodies (parliamentary committees, political groups and others) and by the authorised external clients. The activities include managing requests for meetings and for interpretation, assisting the Secretary General, the Quaestor and the Vice-President in charge in authorisation of all kinds of events, as well as maintaining close relations with the local authorities for events in public spaces.
