Who we are
The Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC) delivers digitally advanced, secure, resilient, compliant and sustainable information and communications technology (ICT) services.
Within DG ITEC, the Portfolio Management and Compliance Unit (PMCO) serves as the Central Program and Project Management Office, overseeing the global portfolio of programs and projects, including demand management, capacity assessment, and budget monitoring. It ensures compliance with data protection, interoperability, AI, digital accessibility and cybersecurity frameworks while governing the IT assets portfolio.
Your tasks
Support in the PMCO Unit's coordination activities relating to compliance, which may include:
- Assistance in the drafting, transmission and review of reports (including communications and presentations) and recommendations;
- Documentation of the decisions made following the reports;
- Assistance in assessing compliance of IT investments of DG ITEC to different laws, in particular AI Act, digital accessibility obligations under the Financial Regulation and Interoperability Regulation, including the execution of a risk analysis when required;
- Participate to meeting, if needed, draft meeting minutes, and to events within DG ITEC;
- Assistance in drafting compliance artefacts during the different phases of the projects or whenever a new tool or process is required;
- Supporting the compliance coordination across different Units within and outside DG ITEC;
- Provision of guidance and support handling requests of other Units;
- Provision of expertise and advise on compliance matters to colleagues;
- Adaptation or creation, when necessary, general guidance on compliance;
- Raise awareness on compliance matters within DG ITEC;
- Contribution to the creation of the over compliance framework within DG ITEC;
- Conduct studies, including analyses, recommendations and evaluations and/or take part in the follow-up of new IT technologies;
- Assistance in procurement procedures and contract management;
- News and case law monitoring on EU regulations relating to compliance;
- Collaborate with other colleagues in the Unit, such as those supporting the strategic decision-making boards, Enterprise Licencing and IT Personal Data Protection.
You are
We are looking for a person matching:
- Holder of a university level diploma (preferably a Master) in Law, IT or Economics, with interest in the other two domains;
- Practical or academic experience in EU Directives and Regulations relating to compliance;
- Keen on IT topics;
- Motivated with regards to the EU project;
- Collaborative and likes to work in teams;
- Dynamic, curious and ready to learn.
