The Directorate-General for Logistics and Interpretation for Conferences (DG LINC) provides the linguistic, technical and logistical support for the organisation of the parliamentary meetings and conferences of EP Members and bodies. By supplying state-of-the-art conference facilities, including high-quality interpretation services and conference organisation, we contribute to facilitating the legislative process as well as helping to underpin the democratic legitimacy of the Institution.

The Logistics Sector within the Human Resources Unit supports the Directorate-General for Logistics and Interpretation for Conferences (DG LINC) by managing space and overseeing logistical operations. It ensures that DG LINC's working environments comply with all safety and security standards of the European Parliament, while also promoting well-being at work.

Its responsibilities include: optimising space according to needs driving innovation, ensuring accessibility, coordinating office moves, handling furniture requests, managing inventory, and providing support for all infrastructure-related matters.

The Logistics Sector serves as the main point of contact for DG LINC in its interactions with the Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO), the Directorate-General for Security and Safety (DG SAFE), and other counterparts across the various Directorates-General.

 

Your tasks

  • Study workflows related to moves and space allocation and planning, assisting the Logistics Coordinator in drafting plans, visiting spaces, contacting and collecting stakeholders needs, preparing communications and proposals;
  • Analyse and propose future options for space planning in DG LINC, taking into account any future teleworking/hot desking arrangements/activity-based working;
  • Research ergonomics studies and their possible application in DG LINC (for office or teleworking);
  • Process demands for office moves, space allocation, furniture etc. in a client-oriented way;
  • Contribute to the administrative and communication tasks of the unit.

 

You are

...enthusiastic, eager to learn and to share knowledge, customer-oriented, a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ideally you have:

  • A University degree in (interior) architecture and/or in engineering and/or environmental studies;
  • Interest in space planning and facilities management in the context of a modern working environment.
