Who we are

The Directorate-General for Logistics and Interpretation for Conferences (DG LINC) provides the linguistic, technical and logistical support for parliamentary meetings and conferences. By supplying state-of-the-art conference facilities, including high-quality interpretation services and conference organisation, we facilitate the legislative process as well as helping to underpin the democratic legitimacy of the Institution.

This makes DG LINC a very dynamic and collaborative place to work, offering various opportunities for connecting internally and with all those taking part in the legislative process. If you like challenges and are customer-minded, then DG LINC could be a great place for you to do a traineeship.

The Strategy and Innovation Unit provides advice and expertise to senior management on strategic development. We coordinate the DG’s position in inter-institutional matters and representation in global committees and events. To exploit the DG’s full potential and observe progress, we monitor inter-directorate activities and develop metrics and analyses. We are also responsible for the coordination of the DG’s eco-management within the EMAS scheme (environmental management audit scheme).

The Strategy and Innovation Unit helps establish and monitors DG LINC’s project portfolio. Projects are key components for a contemporary, innovative service delivery. We also serve as an assurance provider to senior management through effective risk and business continuity management, as well as monitoring internal and ex-post controls. The unit manages different streams of feedback, coordinating the flow of information with relevant business owners and stakeholders in order to ensure quality of services and facilitate transparency across the DG.

We are a friendly and dynamic team operating in a multicultural environment. Our wide-ranging mandate makes for a diverse field of action.

Your tasks will involve:

  • Supporting the Unit’s ongoing activities by attending meetings, drafting minutes, analysing data, consolidating results, generating information graphics and presentations, and building/maintaining databases;

  • Organising multilingual events and activities;
  • Insight into inter-institutional matters;
  • Assisting with internal communication on EMAS and the preparation of environmental management processes.

You will gain a thorough understanding of the Institution and experience first-hand how this unique multilingual, modern Parliament functions.
