Who we are

The Directorate-General for Logistics and Interpretation for Conferences (DG LINC) provides the linguistic, technical and logistical support for parliamentary meetings and conferences. By supplying state-of-the-art conference facilities, including high-quality interpretation services and conference organisation, we facilitate the legislative process as well as helping to underpin the democratic legitimacy of the Institution.

The Remote Conference Services Unit of DG LINC is the team making sure that our conference facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technological solutions in order to facilitate effective multilingualism and hybrid meetings. The team is composed of around 50 highly specialised staff members who focus on providing the appropriate and innovative technical solutions to serve their clients' needs.

The team is responsible for the successful deployment of the multilingual remote participation (MRP) platform and MRP support teams to meetings, which allow for the provision of interpretation to remote participants.

 

Your tasks

  • The successful candidate will join this diverse and dynamic team and will be involved in internal and external communication, documentation and resource planning related to the MRP platform;
  • They will also be involved in providing support in the meeting room for meetings and events with Multilingual Remote Participation and Remote Interpretation.

 

You are

  • The chosen person will have experience in communication and event coordination activities;
  • Very good planning and coordination skills including the ability to prioritise and to deal with emergencies promptly are essential;
  • A high degree of autonomy, very good communication skills and the ability to stay calm under stress are needed;
  • Written and oral fluency in English and/or French are required;
  • Good Excel skills would be an asset.
