Who we are

The Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO) is responsible for overseeing the European Parliament's vast infrastructure portfolio, which spans around 1.3 million square meters of building space across Europe. This includes a variety of tasks that are crucial to ensuring the smooth functioning and sustainability of the Parliament's operations. DG INLO's responsibilities go beyond just building management; it is also in charge of a range of essential services such as catering, mail distribution, furniture management, and transport for Parliament Members and staff. This comprehensive approach ensures that all physical and logistical needs are met, supporting the European Parliament’s political activities in a sustainable way.

The Brussels Upkeep Unit contributes to the goals of the Institution by making sure staff and Members in Brussels can fulfil their functions in the best possible conditions, in safe, comfortable and innovative buildings, by continuously upgrading the premises and technical installations and adapting every space to the individualized needs of each service. We are a team of experts providing high-quality infrastructure renovation with a clear client-oriented approach. The key for efficient results relies on guaranteeing excellent cooperation with all other services involved in our activities and a close communication with our clients.

 

Your tasks

  • Follow-up on energy saving projects in the buildings in Brussels;
  • Follow-up on the works of the permanent team and of the projects linked to building special techniques (electricity, HVAC, sanitary systems).

 

You are

We are looking for a candidate with very good knowledge of the HVAC installations (Heating, Ventilation, AirConditioning) to assist the team of engineers in our unit.

Enthusiasm, team spirit and good communications skills are also very important for the post since there is constant interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
