Who we are

The Directorate-General for Logistics and Interpretation for Conferences (DG LINC) provides the linguistic, technical and logistical support for the organisation of the parliamentary meetings and conferences of EP Members and bodies. By supplying state-of-the-art conference facilities, including high-quality interpretation services and conference organisation, we contribute to facilitating the legislative process as well as helping to underpin the democratic legitimacy of the Institution.

The Conference Coordination Unit (CCU) of the Directorate-General for Logistics and Interpretation for Conferences (DG LINC) is responsible for the coordination of organisational, technical and logistical support to conferences and other events organised in Parliament’s premises, for exhibitions organised by Members of the European Parliament on Parliament’s premises, and for political groups’ meetings held outside the workplaces of the institution.

The unit facilitates and structures transversal coordination between the organisers and the service providers, acting as a single point of contact.

 

Your tasks

  • Assisting with event coordination tasks, including participant registration and reporting;
  • Supporting the logistics relating to Members’ exhibitions;
  • Anticipating needs, defining priorities and meeting deadlines, with supervision from colleagues in the unit;
  • Taking part in preparatory meetings with event organisers and drafting minutes;
  • Attending events and providing on-the-spot overall logistical support;
  • Contributing to document management-related tasks.

Thanks to this traineeship, you will have the opportunity to build on the knowledge acquired during your studies and to familiarise yourself with the activities of the European Parliament. Hence, careful attention will be brought to adapt your tasks to your background as far as possible, as well as to provide you with opportunities to develop a better understanding of the institution.
