The Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO) is responsible for overseeing the European Parliament's vast infrastructure portfolio, which spans around 1.3 million square meters of building space across Europe. This includes a variety of tasks that are crucial to ensuring the smooth functioning and sustainability of the Parliament's operations. DG INLO's responsibilities go beyond just building management; it is also in charge of a range of essential services such as catering, mail distribution, furniture management, and transport for Parliament Members and staff. This comprehensive approach ensures that all physical and logistical needs are met, supporting the European Parliament’s political activities in a sustainable way.
In the context of the development of its activities, the Information Technology and IT Support Unit of DG INLO is looking for a person with a qualification in Cybersecurity.
Your tasks
In the context of the development of its activities, the Information Technology and IT Support Unit is looking for a person to help the work of the information security officer of DG INLO.
The tasks would include compiling an asset inventory in SharePoint, including designing an appropriate model for collection and inventory. They would also involve documenting the system architecture and tracking cybersecurity-related activities such as risk assessments, penetration testing, security awareness, vulnerability tracking, and verifying system compliance with security policies.
You are
- You studied IT at least at bachelor’s level and with a focus on network, IoT and security;
- You have experience using SharePoint;
- You have very good communication and organisation skills;
- You are adept at collaborating with a cross-functional team to ensure the highest security standards are met;
- Additionally, you are a proactive problem-solver and are able to stay updated with the latest industry trends.
You will learn cybersecurity in the context of building management systems. This role offers an opportunity to dive deep into the integration of smart technologies.
