Who we are
The Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO) is responsible for overseeing the European Parliament's vast infrastructure portfolio, which spans 1.2 million square meters of building space across Europe. This includes a variety of tasks that are crucial to ensuring the smooth functioning and sustainability of the Parliament's operations. DG INLO's responsibilities go beyond just building management; it is also in charge of a range of essential services such as catering, mail distribution, furniture management, and transport for Parliament Members and staff. This comprehensive approach ensures that all physical and logistical needs are met, supporting the European Parliament’s political activities in a sustainable way.
Within DG INLO, our Ushers and Movers Unit is present on the three sites: Brussels, Luxembourg and Strasbourg.
Your tasks
Ushers are primarily responsible for distributing incoming mail and collecting outgoing mail in all the offices of the European Parliament.
Movers are responsible for transporting movable property in all offices and areas of the European Parliament. They also manage the transfer of members and staff trunks for the session and provide support to the political groups during their meetings outside the three places of work.
We would like to have a trainee for the Movers team in Strasbourg.

Given the nature of the tasks, a good physical condition is, of course, an advantage.
In addition to French, we would appreciate basic knowledge of English, so that the trainee can interact with our clients.
