Who we are

The Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO) is responsible for overseeing the European Parliament's vast infrastructure portfolio, which spans around 1.3 million square meters of building space across Europe. This includes a variety of tasks that are crucial to ensuring the smooth functioning and sustainability of the Parliament's operations. DG INLO's responsibilities go beyond just building management; it is also in charge of a range of essential services such as catering, mail distribution, furniture management, and transport for Parliament Members and staff. This comprehensive approach ensures that all physical and logistical needs are met, supporting the European Parliament’s political activities in a sustainable way.

Within the Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics, the Infrastructure Management Unit in Strasbourg is responsible for buildings owned by the European Parliament, totaling approximately 360,000 m² across six buildings in Strasbourg, and its mission is to:

  • Monitor the maintenance of technical equipment and finishing works;
  • Oversee services related to construction;
  • Organise and monitor works (space reallocation with functional changes, renovations, technical upgrades of equipment, etc.);
  • Provide daily support to end-users in terms of the quality of the premises (temperature, humidity, cleaning, keys, flooring, wall coverings, suspended ceilings, etc.);
  • Keep reference plans and building data up to date using the Building Information Management (BIM) method.

Your tasks

You will join the Planothèque/BIM sector (team of 5 members) within the Unit. Your main tasks will be as follows:

  • Update the architectural BIM models in Revit:
    • Model certain architectural elements such as stairs, furniture, external networks, etc.;
    • Ensure the use of the Parliament's nomenclature and maintain geometric consistency across the six models;
    • Harmonise the library;
    • Harmonise the data;
  • Help clean and update the Common Data Environment (CDE) platform;
  • You may also collaborate with the other GO-SO and Technical Services sectors;
    • Update of medium- and long-term maintenance planning, based on existing tools and the theoretical lifespan of building components and equipment.

 

You are

We are looking for a motivated and proactive person. The candidate should demonstrate strong communication skills and be results-oriented.

Candidate profile: engineer/architect with knowledge in modelling.

Experience: no professional experience required.

Languages: English or French required. French is used on a daily basis.

IT skills: Excel, Revit.
