Who we are
The Directorate-General for Economy, Transformation and Industry (DG ECTI) is responsible for supporting the work of several key parliamentary committees dealing with economic governance, environmental policy, industrial transformation and cybersecurity. As such, it plays a pivotal role in shaping policies related to economic and monetary affairs, taxation, internal market and consumer protection, industry, research and energy, the environment, food safety, and public health.
Furthermore, through the provision of expert analysis and dedicated research services, DG ECTI aims to empower Members of the European Parliament to develop evidence-based policies that address the needs and concerns of European citizens, while also contributing to the effective exercise and development of the Parliament's legislative and scrutiny powers.
The Resources Unit in DG ECTI is committed to enhancing organisational effectiveness through strategic human resource management, financial oversight, and effective internal communication. Your tasks
As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced team members and contribute to essential projects in the following areas:
- Communication - Help develop and implement communication strategies that enhance collaboration and information sharing within the organisation, and more specifically assist in establishing a strong online presence for the DG;
- Human Resources - Provide support with trainee activities and acquire a deeper understanding of staff engagement and development;
- Finances - Gain insights into budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
