The European Parliament stands for democracy. We help connect it to people.

This entails providing complete and impartial information to citizens and media about the European Parliament, and assisting Members in their communication activities. The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) strives to reach the right audience with the right message at the right time and in doing so, deliver world-class communication. We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.

The European Parliament's Office in Spain provides information on the role and powers of the European Parliament, on Spanish Members of the European Parliament and their activities, and on the issues currently being considered by the Parliament that are important for Spain and Europe as a whole.

 

Your tasks

The main work of the European Parliament Liaison Office is related to three big areas: communication and social media, events and political insight. We are therefore looking for a trainee who would be able to cover, in particular, the fields of Social Media and youth engagement. The main tasks of this particular post would consist of:

  • Social Media management (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIN and YouTube);
  • Audio-visual production (Fluent on CANVA);
  • Mass mailing copywriting skills;
  • Contributing to the organisation of youth events and activities.

 

You are

  • Un profesional titulado en periodismo, publicidad o comunicación audiovisual;
  • Con un interés especial en la comunicación digital a través de redes sociales;
  • Con una vocación de impulso de la participación de los jóvenes en la democracia europea;
  • Con buenas dotes comunicativas;
  • Actitud dinámica y flexible;
  • Sentido del trabajo en equipo.

Se valorará positivamente la experiencia en gestión de redes sociales, producción audiovisual y organización de eventos.
