This entails providing complete and impartial information to citizens and media about the European Parliament, and assisting Members in their communication activities.
The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) strives to reach the right audience with the right message at the right time and in doing so, deliver world-class communication. We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.
The Directorate for Liaison Office (EPLO) team is composed of dedicated communication professionals who work to bring the European Parliament closer to citizens. Through media relations, stakeholder engagement, and public outreach, the team supports the Parliament’s mission of promoting democratic participation across Europe.
The EPLO in Lisbon is tasked with implementing institutional communication activities at the local level, with the overarching goal of fostering citizens’ understanding of the European Parliament and encouraging their active participation in the European democratic process.
The EPLO in Lisbon engages with citizens and key stakeholders, liaises with national, regional, and local media, and offers support to Members of the European Parliament (MEPs).
Your tasks
- Supporting the Head of Office and the Public Relations Officers;
- Organization of indoor and outdoor events, from the early stage of promotion to the final phase of reporting;
- Support to the management of social media accounts and production of audio-visual contents;
- Administrative tasks: search for suppliers, control of deliveries, management of stocks, and distribution of materials.
You are
You are/have:
- Thorough knowledge of Portuguese;
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
- Graduated in International Relations, Political Science and Law;
- Advanced level of English and/or French.
