The European Parliament stands for European democracy. We help connect it to people.
This entails providing complete and impartial information to citizens and media about the European Parliament, and assisting Members in their communication activities. The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) strives to reach and engage the right audience with the right message at the right time and in doing so, deliver world-class communication. We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.
The mission of the Personnel Unit is to provide all DG COMM staff with professional advice on human resources (HR) subjects and to assist the management of DG COMM in the human resources planning and management process.
Our team, within DG COMM’s Directorate for Resources, deals with the recruitment procedure of all staff and renewal of contracts, oversees budgetary envelopes for the recruitment of contract agents, trainees, professional training and professional travels.
We also organize onboarding events for trainees and newcomers, as well as manage organized visits and specific information sessions for trainees. In addition we manage initiatives for a successful onboarding of trainees and newcomers like the management of common information sites and the drafting of handbooks.
We also participate in conferences on HR topics.
Your tasks
Your tasks would be to provide assistance for the dossiers managed by our team, for example:
- Trainees management;
- Newcomers onboarding management;
- Organisation of events;
- On-going specific events;
- Participation to HR conferences and reporting.
