The European Parliament stands for European democracy. We help connect it to people.
This entails providing complete and impartial information to citizens and media about the European Parliament, and assisting Members in their communication activities. The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) strives to reach and engage the right audience with the right message at the right time and in doing so, deliver world-class communication. We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.
As part of the Directorate for Visitors, the Parlamentarium Unit is responsible for the running and development of the European Parliament Visitors’ Centre in Brussels. On a surface area of 5,200 m2, the Parlamentarium exhibition charts the path towards European integration, how the European Parliament works and how its Members operate to meet the challenges of today to improve the life of citizens. It is available in all of the European Union’s 24 official languages and aimed at visitors of all ages.
Your tasks
- Curatorial and administrative assistance in maintaining and upgrading the Parlamentarium’s permanent and temporary exhibition;
- Research and content/text production for existing and new media stations;
- Assistance with the maintenance of existing media stations;
- Proofreading and translations.
You are
- Interested in and knowledgeable about exhibitions;
- An excellent communicator (both written and oral);
- Strong on organisation and planning;
- Skilled in content research;
- A team player and enjoying building relationships;
- Knowledgeable about EU matters.
