Who we are
The Directorate General for Security and Safety (DG SAFE) ensures safety and security of the persons, buildings and assets within the European Parliament’s premises. In addition, it commits to provide high quality security services by developing modern working methods, digitalised processes and using state-of-the-art technologies and equipment.
The Information Security and Analysis Unit of DG SAFE ensures the appropriate level of information protection to guarantee Parliament's political bodies and administration the access to sensitive information. The tasks of the Unit include also the collection, consolidation and analysis of information in the area of security risks, including hybrid threats, such as disinformation, cyber threats and foreign interference. The unit is also responsible for the management of security clearances, the design and execution of the Information Security policies and rules as well as the implementation of technical counter-surveillance measures in the three sites.
Your tasks
The trainee assigned to the team will perform a range of activities to support the Unit:
- Participate in the design of awareness-raising campaigns on information security;
- Provide support to security advise and notifications for events;
- Provide support to the security verifications of external staff;
- Support the activities in the area of cooperation with other services and institutions;
- Monitor security related issues within the area of competence of the Unit;
- Write and edit reports on a variety of subjects and ensure follow-up.
You are
The Information Security and Analysis Unit is looking for a motivated trainee interested in security, safety, information security policy, and getting involved in a diversity of security-related tasks and challenges. A high level of French and English is required for the daily work. Any other EU language is an asset.
Other required competencies are:
- Capacity to gather, analyse and process data;
- Drafting skills;
- Sense of initiative;
- Very good computer skills.
