Who we are
The Directorate General for Security and Safety (DG SAFE) ensures safety and security of the persons, buildings and assets within the European Parliament’s premises. In addition, it commits to provide high quality security services by developing modern working methods, digitalised processes and using state-of-the-art technologies and equipment.
The Directorate for Security Operations of DG SAFE is mainly made up of security and prevention officers and officials of the European Parliament who ensure access to and the security of people within Parliament's premises, as well as its assets and buildings. Its mission is therefore to guarantee a secure working environment to allow Members and staff to perform their democratic mandate and duties in a secure and safety manner.
The Security Brussels Unit of DG SAFE ensures all tasks relating to the security and protection of persons and assets in Brussels as well as controlling access to the European Parliament's premises and installations therein (persons, vehicles, supplies and mail) guaranteeing that official visits, meetings and events of all kinds run smoothly. In addition, the Unit implements decisions taken by the European Parliament's authorities on security and safety. The Unit is composed of 4 entities.
Your tasks
- Contribute to the internal communication of the Directorate;
- Assist in a series of administrative activities of follow-up of security agents;
- Draw up the DB with the competencies per agents (training capacities);
- Logistical support (inventory and distribution of specific equipment);
- Contribute to drafting the annual activity report of the Directorate;
- Develop users’ satisfaction surveys on the services provided by Directorate’s different teams;
- Translate different instructions and procedures in EN-FR;
- Draft different reports and minutes of meetings in EN-FR.
You are
- We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate who enjoys engaging with a variety of tasks and challenges and has a strong interest in the security field;
- Proficiency in French and English, the main working languages of the Directorate, is essential for daily operations. Knowledge of any other EU language is an additional asset;
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility in handling diverse responsibilities and adaptability to the ever-evolving security environment.
