Who we are

The Directorate General for Security and Safety (DG SAFE) ensures safety and security of the persons, buildings and assets within the European Parliament’s premises. In addition, it commits to provide high quality security services by developing modern working methods, digitalised processes and using state-of-the-art technologies and equipment.

The Human Resources Unit of DG SAFE has as a mission to provide the Directorate-General with motivated and committed staff, complying with the highest professional standards. In particular, the Human Resources Unit is responsible for the selection, recruitment, management, and career development of more than 900 staff members, as well as the overall specific working arrangements and logistics for DG SAFE staff.

 

Your tasks

Within the unit, you will join the “recruitment” team, engaging yourself in various actions that we undertake aimed at improving the management of human resources and focusing on selection and recruitment processes.

As trainee, you will be responsible for consolidating an annual activity report in collaboration with the different sectors of the unit, and involved in various tasks within this team: supporting HR forward planning, participating in the follow-up of the KPI, updating selection and recruitment procedures, etc.

 

You are

  • A university graduate with an academic background in HR, Public Administration and/or Social sciences;
  • Proactive and open to working in a multicultural and fast-paced environment;
  • Innovative and creative at work;
  • With a sense of confidentiality;
  • Great communicator, both orally and in writing;
  • Fluent in French and English as these are our internal working languages.
