Who we are
We are the Mediation Service of the European Parliament, in charge of supporting Members and staff to find sustainable solutions to their disputes and fostering a healthy working environment. The service consists of one Head Mediator, one Mediator and one Assistant. Our mission covers prevention and management of inter-personal conflict and we provide individual support, mediation and tailor-made workshops to all persons and teams in the Parliament.
Your tasks
Assisting the team in its mission, through:
- Organising and preparing workshops and awareness-raising events;
- Research or communication projects;
- Administrative tasks.
Due to confidentiality, you will not be involved in dealing with specific mediation cases. However, you will be involved in general reflections regarding conflict dynamics, prevention and management, team and system dynamics.
You are
- You are interested in working in the area of human resources;
- In particular, you have an interest in human behaviour, motivation and conflict resolution;
- Familiarity with principles of non-violent communication is highly valued;
- Unwavering discretion and a commitment to confidentiality;
- You are a natural team player, eager to collaborate and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment;
- You possess excellent communication and organisation skills;
- You are fluent in English;
- Knowledge of French, German, or other official languages is a valuable asset.
